From the storm comes a giraffe.

We just had some tornado worthy thunder, lightening and rain in 'burbs of Glencoe. Amidst it all I stayed cozy and dry in my room and made a couple simple giraffe collages.

I love giraffes and sunflowers and Antarctica. So, these little collages are makin' me happy.

In the attic:

For the Past few months I have been housesitting at the home of recently deceased photographer named Jesse Griggs. Her only close living relative is a nice who lives in Idaho. So since I was living with my parents nearby I was asked if I could step in and live at the house until I decide to move or the house is sold.

Aside from living in this old house, I've also been helping to pack up some of Jesse's many collections. While organizing some things in her attic one day I came across a dusty old box full of photographs from old movie stills in the 1920's.

Each photograph has such a beautifully haunting quality to it, I had to share them!

I recently acquired a bundle of victorian photographs. I wanted to share some of my favorites. I love the ones of the ladies with their animals! They are getting me very excited to take more portraits.

A few new Holga images from the past few weeks:

(All the fine gentlemen in these pictures are from the band Brenda, who you should take a look/listen at here.)

Making a plan to venture to the city Monday and find the right place to develop film. If this plan works I'll have a few more rolls to share soon!

Today I'm am working on finishing up my last pages for The Sketchbook Project.

I had been hoping I would be able to make the whole sketchbook flow together well in the end.  I think its clear in the first few pages I had no idea where I wanted to go with it. But I think the rest of it flows fairly well. I had fun with it!
Although there are a few pages I'm realllly tempted to tear out.

I'm sharing a couple of the pages. But the rest you'll have to see on the tour!
I hope you enjoy the sneak peek.
